Lizzy's Bio
I was born Elizabeth Caroline Pain in Stone, Buckinghamshire, England in
August 1967 and was educated at Stone C of E Primary School and Aylesbury High School before starting
the University of Manchester in 1985 where
I was reading Physics with Electronic Engineering.
Unfortunately I developed Glandular Fever and although I restarted my course
the following year ended up "dropping out" in 1987. After some more
recovery time I gained a job as an actuarial trainee but became pregnant
that summer.
In January 1988 Robin and I got married and set up home together. Our
daughter Emma Susan Richards arrived in May 1988. Unfortunately by the
end of 1990 it was clear that our marriage was not a success and in May 1991
I moved back to Manchester and we divorced in due course.
In March of 1993 I went to my neighbours' flat warming party and met Steve
Taylor. October 1993 saw me try again at gaining a degree, this time
in Computuational Linguistics at UMIST
, but that came to an end in June 1995 when I finally succumbed to Steve's
father offering me a job at Ravenfield
Designs Limited.
Steve and I were married in November of 1995, this was followed by the arrival
of William M Taylor in November 1997 and Jonathan M Taylor in March 2000.
From February 1998 until December 2001 I was Brown Owl to the 5th Heywood
(St John's ) Brownies, but had to give up due to inceasing family commitments
although I still hope to be active in the Guide Association again at some future
time.
Other than my family my main current hobby is quilting
although I enjoy many craft activities.
